8 day Winter Skill Course February 2027

In the heart of winter, Inari becomes our home base for winter skills courses. Far above the Arctic Circle, it’s one of the best places to experience the Northern Lights and learn essential bushcraft techniques.

Here, in the middle of Sámi land, we immerse ourselves in local culture before diving into practical skills: different forms of snow travel like skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, learning how to self-rescue if you break through ice, how to free a stuck snowmobile, and how to make fire in extreme cold. You’ll practice all of this safely in true wilderness conditions.

We teach not only the how, but also the why: understanding traditional knowledge and its roots. A visit to the renowned Sámi Museum and a traditional reindeer farm deepens your insight into Sámi history, culture and survival skills.
